Victaulic, the world leading producer of grooved mechanical pipe joining and fire protection systems, has appointed Adam Hicks as its new Fire Protection Manager for the Middle East. He will head up a team of regional experts and be based in Doha, Qatar.
Hicks brings with him extensive expertise. He has professional qualifications in engineering and a background working for leading global firms. His experience includes code and standards development, as well as training engineers, designers and end users.
In his new role, Hicks will be responsible for the entire range of Victaulic fire protection products across the Middle East, including specialised couplings, preaction, dry and deluge valves, special hazards solutions, and the latest VicFlex line of innovative flexible drops and patented fitting brackets that are expected to make a major impact in the region.
VicFlex is designed to install more easily than traditional rigid piping systems whilst delivering more durable performance. It offers a convenient and safe solution, requires fewer man-hours to install, is cost effective for maintenance and retrofit applications, and lowers shipping costs with a more compact form.
Commenting on his new appointment, Hicks said: “Victaulic has an excellent product portfolio and I am looking forward to building on innovation and focusing on risk mitigation and customer productivity from cradle to grave. The desire for a rapid increase of infrastructure in the region, without compromising quality or compliance, should drive demand for Victaulic solutions and I am excited about this opportunity to serve the industry.”
