Specially designed for use within harsh environments: STI’s range of IP67 rated Waterproof Call Points and Push Buttons are ideal for areas where ingress is an issue.
The Waterproof ReSet Call Points (WRP2) are a unique IP67 rated Call Point that mimic the feel of breaking glass whilst offering the user the benefits and environmental advantages of a re-settable operating element. They are specially designed for use within sensitive environments such as oil rigs, ships, factories, as well as wash down areas that are vulnerable to broken glass. They are safe to use in areas where glass cannot be used such as food processing plants and swimming pools. As the units can be simply reset, they provide an ideal solution for areas that suffer from a high number of false activations.
Offering solutions for both indoor and outdoor challenges, the Waterproof ReSet Call Point conforms to IP67 certification.
Also available are the Waterproof StopperSwitch (WSS3): a range of Waterproof Push Buttons which offer a momentary push-and-release or turn-to-reset function. Models are also available where once activated, a key can be used to quickly and conveniently reset the unit.
Both Call Points and Push Buttons are available in a variety of colours, in order to suit all applications; both with the option of standard function markings or custom label to suit requirements.
As the industry expert in call point protection, STI’s range also offers protective covers for MCPs and Push Buttons located in areas where additional ingress prevention is needed. Covers are available with IP56 or IP66 rated, depending on the level of protection required.
The Universal Stopper®, domed or low profile models, offer IP56 protection. The protective cover consists of sturdy UV-stabilised polycarbonate housing which retrofits over the device. There is an optional 96 dB sounder which emits a piercing alarm when the cover is lifting, drawing immediate attention to the area in the event of an unwanted activation. This acts both as a deterrent to those looking to raise a malicious alarm, as well as functioning as an additional alarm in an emergency situation without hindering legitimate operation.
