Orolia Maritime, through its McMurdo and Netwave brands, is a global leader in emergency readiness and response, and the world’s leading supplier of emergency beacons, vessel management services (VMS) and voyage data recorder (VDR) solutions. Exhibiting at this year’s International WorkBoat Show on booth 527, Orolia is showcasing its extended portfolio of innovative search and rescue, data capture and fleet management solutions with its new McMurdo OmniCom brand, Netwave’s pioneering VDR platform and the award-winning Smartfind G8 AIS, the world’s first Emergency Position-Indicating Radio Beacon (EPIRB) to contain the localised rescue power of Automatic Identification System (AIS).
On McMurdo’s booth, visitors can learn more about its tried and tested maritime safety range, including the FastFind 220 personal locator beacons (PLBs), as used by the United States Coast Guard, as well as its extended range of AIS electronics and MOB devices, including the game-changing Smartfind G8 AIS, which received European accreditation in November.
Following Orolia’s acquisition of Netwave in April of this year, which sees the addition of global leaders in VDR to Orolia’s McMurdo Maritime portfolio, Netwave will showcase its VDR range and introduce its new Seawise solution. Seawise is a cloud-based software system that enables ship owners to make better informed operational decisions by utilising the data captured through its VDR infrastructure.
McMurdo’s US Sales Director, Terry Crocket, will be on hand to introduce some of the new team and to demonstrate the new fleet management, communication and vessel tracking solutions under the new OmniCom product brand.
