The National Chemical Emergency Centre (NCEC), part of Ricardo, is excited to announce that it will be extending its physical presence in North America to better support our customers in the region.
A vital part of this venture is the appointment of Tim Kennedy who has recently joined NCEC as a New Business Development Manager. He will be based in Ricardo Inc’s offices in Detroit.
Tim has significant experience in the international regulatory environment, having previously working at ChemADVISOR/UL. This will be critical when working with organisations in the North American chemicals industry as he understands the business pressures and risks they face, and will be able to help them implement solutions to achieve compliance or to mitigate downstream supply chain risk.
A vital part of Tim’s role will be to work with the chemicals industry to help to implement emergency response arrangements that directly support the chemical supply chain during a chemical incident. NCEC’s service is differentiated in the market through our ability to provide direct and actionable advice, in multiple languages, directly to those on the ground who are dealing with an emergency situation – a service provided by our chemically qualified emergency responders. Tim will also be working to help organisations understand European (and global) regulations including the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH) Regulation, the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals (GHS) and the Regulation on the classification, labelling and packaging of substances and mixtures (CLP Regulation) – and any trading impact Brexit may bring.
Tim is excited to meet and work closely with our customers, as well as the wider chemical safety community. If you think that your company could benefit from NCEC’s support to help you comply with the complexity of international chemical safety regulations, and protect your people, the environment, assets and reputation, then please email on [email protected]
