Eco-friendly
Being ‘green’ or environmentally friendly is on the agenda for NAFFCO. It has produced several products which are safe for the environment. These products vary from eco-friendly extinguishers to fire suppression systems, which have all been designed to have a less harmful impact on their surroundings.
For example, NAFFCO’s Eco Barid Foam are PFOA, PFOS, fluorochemical free & Biodegradable synthetic foam concentrate used to extinguish European Class A, B, D and F-Class fires. Its Environmentally Formulated to meet the requirements of 2015 U.S. EPA PFOA product stewardship Program. It is suitable for both hydrocarbon & polar fuels and available in 1×3%, 3×3% & 3×6% concentrations. It provides rapid extinguishment, prevent re-ignition of liquid spills, control hazardous vapor, extinguish deep seated fires, combustible metal fire & cooking oils or fats fires. In addition, there have been four variants of the NAFFCO Eco Barid Foam Extinguisher (2, 3 & 6 Liters) which have been certified by the UK’s Loss Prevention Certification Board (LPCB).
Meanwhile, the NAFFCO Inert Fire Suppression Systems uses a host of UL-listed inert gases, which include IG100 (100% Nitrogen), IG541 (50% Nitrogen, 42% Argon, 8% Carbon-
Dioxide), IG01 (100 % Argon) and IG55 (50% Argon, 50% Nitrogen) to provide 200-300 bar firefighting capabilities. The system’s inert gases are colourless, electrically nonconductive, odourless and possess densities equivalent to air, while being compatible with 67-litre, 80-litre and 140- litre cylinders. When the systems are discharged into a protected space, NAFFCO Insert’s gases intelligently remain transparent so that vision is not obscured, but also to leave no residue or make any contribution to global warming or ozone depletion.

Innovation
NAFFCO have implemented a new innovative monitoring system which allows it to monitor the status of fire pumps 24/7, regardless of the location. NAFFCO also latched onto UAE’s momentum to develop, as by keeping in line with the many strict applications and codes, the company developed the cloud system in lieu with the vision of the UAE Civil Defence. In addition to this, given the UAE’s eagerness – and policy – to opt for Smart Cities, the company has pledged to develop Smart Solutions to back this up.

NAFFCO’s growth is undeniable, and despite becoming an industry leader, they are still growing a considerable amount in both the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. Expansions
The company recently opened the biggest plant in the Middle East that specializes in steel pipes and HDPE encompassing over 100,000m2. These HDPE pipes will be used for underground hydrant network system for firefighting application. It also can be used for irrigation system. The new facility has the latest technology to manufacture HDPE moulded fittings.
