Maxlogic Mimic Panel is a repeater panel with a 7” TFT screen that allows graphical monitoring and control of fire-alarm systems. It can be used in a network with other intelligent addressable fire-alarm panels and repeater panels. Mimic Panel enables the user to identify the device raising the fire alarm through its 7” TFT screen. By this means, the employee in charge of the security of the facility can take action to extinguish the fire.
Mimic Panel is very useful especially in facilities that have many buildings, floors and rooms. It allows people to monitor all of the devices in fire-alarm systems. If a fire alarm is triggered from one of the devices in the fire-alarm system, the person observing Mimic Panel’s screen can determine the device’s exact location. For example, let’s think about a university with many faculties. If a fire alarm comes from classroom number 201, which is on the second floor in the Engineering Faculty, authorized personnel can examine the whole system from a central location and determine the exact location of that device.
Mimic panel should be used in a network of fire-alarm systems. The maximum distance between a fire-alarm panel and Mimic Panel is 1,200m. If the facility has many buildings that are distant from each other, fibre-optic infrastructure can also be used.
One of the most outstanding features of Mimic Panel is that it allows everybody to understand the location of the device that raises the fire alarm. Even a person who does not know the building very well can understand the source of the alarm thanks to Mimic Panel’s 7” TFT screen.
In addition to monitoring, Mimic Panel allows authorized personnel to control fire-alarm systems. Authorized personnel can send “Reset”, “Alarm” and “Alarm silence” commands from Mimic Panel to intelligent addressable panels that are in the same network. By means of battery backup, Mimic Panel can operate in case of power failure.
During the commissioning of Mimic Panel, building and floor plans of the facility are configured via Mimic Manager Software. Also, with the help of the Loop Manager configuration program, devices in the fire-alarm system are linked to maps in Mimic Panel. As a result, when a fire alarm is raised, at first the related building, then the related floor and lastly the related device flashes in red. The user can view building and floor plans to determine the source of the fire alarm by pressing zoom in and out buttons on Mimic Panel.
Mimic panel is an outstanding and user-friendly device with 7” TFT screen and graphical monitoring and control features. It is a reliable repeater panel that can be used safely in many facilities like residences, hospitals and universities.
