Gerand’s meters have the highest accuracy, lightest weight and most durability in the industry.

Gerand – The global leader in fire pump test meters!

With steady construction growth in the Middle East, high performing fire protection systems are not only critical, they are a requirement. According to NFPA, fire pumps must be tested after initial installation (NFPA 25) and annually thereafter (NFPA 20). The most efficient, labor-saving, water-conserving way to test your fire pump equipment is by installing a fire pump test meter. Gerand Engineering offers an FM-approved fire pump test meter that simplifies the testing process and provides an essential level of security for fire protection systems.

Quality-tested, accurate flow meters

The K-Meter, Gerand’s work horse flow meter, provides readings within 2.0% accuracy rated at 500 PSI. Each meter comes with Factory Mutual (FM) approval, and National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) traceable calibration. Gerand provides an additional level of accuracy by quality checking each meter in house and providing a calibration certificate with each shipment.

Gerand’s fire pump test meters have a true zero and full scale stops to ensure accuracy for even low-end readings. A high resolution gauge reading is guaranteed with more incremental marks than other competitive meters. The durable metal case on Gerand’s meters is able to withstand the most difficult environments. We support our high quality, durable meters with an industry leading five year warranty.

Venturis are available in buttweld, grooved and flanged types, and customizable materials for any application.

Highly customizable, top-grade materials

Different types of construction require customized fire pump test meters. Gerand has a full line of products to meet the specific needs of any construction project or location. Our fire pump test meters can be fabricated from carbon steel, stainless steel, monel, and other high grade materials to meet any environmental requirement. We offer various size meter gauges (4 inch or 6 inch), flow measurements (including liters per minute, gallons per minute or cubic meters per hour) and a wide range of end types and sizes. Gerand has solutions for projects ranging from high rise buildings to seawater installations.

Efficient, secure shipping

Gerand manufactures its fire pump test meters in the United States, and ships them worldwide. We recently moved to a new packaging design to save our customers time, money and reduce their environmental footprint. The modern design is custom fitted to Gerand’s fire pump test meters to ensure efficient, secure shipping. We created easy-to-read labels on each box, and reduced the footprint of 6-inch meters by 59% and 8-inch meters by 33%, saving on storage space and freight costs. These innovative changes are a reflection of our commitment to continual improvement.

Innovation in service and products

For fifty years, Gerand Engineering has been serving the fire safety industry, delivering quality products and superior customer service. In the past year, Gerand has revamped its capabilities to better serve its customers and implement changes to improve our partnerships. These changes includes extending our product warranty, updating our computer system to improve service speed, accuracy and inventory availability, and improving our quote turnaround time. We continue to invite feedback to enhance our competencies and provide a better experience to you.

We will be attending Intersec 2017, and look forward to meeting with you at the show. Our fire pump test meters will be on display, as well as our new packaging design. Come check out our booth in Hall 3, Stand C34 during the show, and learn why Gerand has become the global leader in fire pump test meters!
