Brent Briard has a very wide firefighting and fire safety career path and experience. He served in the military until 1981, and then joined a French chemical company as a firefighter and safety officer dealing with many hazmat incidents. He became the first British fire officer to work with the Falk organisation’s Dutch Fire & Rescue academy, and was then recruited to work for Qatar Petroleum as an operational fire officer at Ras Laffan Industrial City, where he was also active with the ambulance and paramedic units. Whilst in Qatar, Brent was appointed a Fire & Rescue advisor for the World Rally Championships. Returning to the UK, Brent served with London Fire Brigade and then Hertfordshire F & RS for several years before being apppinted to serve as Emergency Services Manager at one of the world’s largest refineries at Petro Rabigh, near Jeddah in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
