The latest panel to join the Protec family of Interactive Digital Addressable Fire Alarm Control Panels, is the Protec Algo-Tec™ 6600. A high specification, feature rich system ideally suited for small, medium and large sized buildings and sites, due to its modular design and networking capability.
The control panel is designed and manufactured by Protec and complies to the latest EN 54-2 & 4. Available with up to 4 loops per panel, with each loop capable of running up to 200 addressable devices, that’s a massive 800 devices per panel.
For larger systems, the panels can be networked, up to a maximum of 160 panels, so with each panel capable of running 800 devices over 4 loops, that gives a whopping 640 loops with 128,000 addressable devices network wide.
The network is a fully fault tolerant secure network, designed to meet the stringent requirements of LPS1653 issue1 2011, and ensuring response times are in accordance with BS5839-1.
The panel utilises the Algo-Tec™ 6000PLUS protocol, so each of the 128,000 devices can be an optical smoke, heat and carbon monoxide type sensor with integral sounder, speech message, and visual alarm device (EN54-23 VAD), in a combined device incorporating all these features and taking up just one address per device. The panel is controlled from a large inbuilt Colour Touch Screen LCD display, and all information is clearly displayed along with 100 secret until lit zone fire indicators (expandable to 10,000). Optional integral printer, charger and battery.
As you would expect from Protec, the panel has comprehensive cause and effect programming including logic programming to match the capacity of the system and the stature of Protec’s pedigree, enable the Algo-Tec™ 6600 systems to be configured exactly to the needs of any commercial or industrial site.
This system can also be connected to our latest Hercules Software, a powerful alarm management tool and graphical user interface. The software provides a cost effective solution for all types of installation, allowing the user to manage their fire alarm system efficiently from one or more convenient locations. Each workstation provides full control of the system, with current and historical event information available with the click of a mouse.
